Primatologist Jane Goodall Expressed Aspiration to Send Elon Musk and Donald Trump on One-Way Cosmic Voyage

After spending decades observing chimpanzee conduct, Jane Goodall became a specialist on the combative nature of dominant males. In a newly published interview filmed shortly before her passing, the renowned primatologist shared her unique solution for handling certain individuals she viewed as displaying similar qualities: launching them on a permanent journey into outer space.

Posthumous Film Discloses Frank Opinions

This notable perspective into Goodall's thinking emerges from the Netflix film "Last Statements", which was filmed in March and maintained private until after her recently announced demise at nine decades of life.

"There are persons I don't like, and I want to place them on a spacecraft and launch them to the planet he's sure he'll find," commented Goodall during her conversation with the interviewer.

Named Figures Mentioned

When asked whether Elon Musk, recognized for his questionable behavior and connections, would be among them, Goodall replied with certainty.

"Yes, definitely. He'd be the leader. Envision the people I would place on that vessel. Along with Musk would be Donald Trump and some of Trump's real supporters," she declared.

"Additionally I would include Russia's leader in there, and I would put China's President Xi. Without question I would add Benjamin Netanyahu in there and his administration. Send them all on that spacecraft and dispatch them."

Earlier Comments

This wasn't the first time that Goodall, a champion of conservation efforts, had voiced concerns about the former president specifically.

In a earlier conversation, she had noted that he displayed "the same sort of conduct as a male chimpanzee exhibits when he's competing for dominance with a rival. They stand tall, they swagger, they project themselves as really more large and hostile than they may actually be in order to frighten their competitors."

Dominance Patterns

During her posthumous documentary, Goodall elaborated on her analysis of dominant individuals.

"We see, notably, two kinds of leader. The first achieves dominance through pure aggression, and because they're strong and they battle, they don't remain for extended periods. Others do it by employing intelligence, like a younger individual will just confront a superior one if his friend, typically a relative, is alongside him. And you know, they remain significantly longer," she detailed.

Group Dynamics

The celebrated primatologist also examined the "social dimension" of actions, and what her detailed observations had revealed to her about combative conduct exhibited by human communities and primates when encountering something they considered hostile, despite the fact that no danger really was present.

"Chimps observe an unfamiliar individual from a neighboring community, and they grow highly agitated, and the hair stands out, and they stretch and contact each other, and they display expressions of anger and fear, and it catches, and the others catch that feeling that a single individual has had, and everyone turns combative," she explained.

"It's contagious," she added. "Various exhibitions that become hostile, it sweeps through them. They all want to participate and engage and grow hostile. They're guarding their territory or competing for dominance."

Human Parallels

When asked if she thought comparable behaviors applied to people, Goodall responded: "Likely, sometimes yes. But I firmly think that the bulk of humanity are decent."

"My primary aspiration is raising future generations of empathetic people, roots and shoots. But are we allowing enough time? I don't know. We face challenging circumstances."

Historical Comparison

Goodall, a London native shortly before the beginning of the Second World War, compared the fight against the difficulties of contemporary politics to the UK resisting the Third Reich, and the "determined resistance" shown by the British leader.

"This doesn't imply you won't experience periods of sadness, but eventually you emerge and say, 'OK, I refuse to allow their success'," she commented.

"It's like Churchill throughout the battle, his renowned address, we will oppose them on the beaches, we shall battle them through the avenues and urban areas, subsequently he remarked to a friend and was heard to say, 'and we shall combat them with the remnants of broken bottles as that's the only thing we actually possess'."

Final Message

In her last message, Goodall shared words of encouragement for those combating governmental suppression and the climate emergency.

"In current times, when Earth is dark, there continues to be optimism. Don't lose hope. When faith diminishes, you become unresponsive and remain inactive," she counseled.

"And if you desire to preserve what is still beautiful across the globe – should you desire to protect our world for the future generations, future family, their offspring – then think about the decisions you implement each day. As, expanded a million, a billion times, even small actions will generate great change."
